12-Lead EKG Confidence

Book Review: 12-Lead EKG Confidence, 2e

12-Lead EKG Confidence: A Step-by-Step Guide, Second Edition, by Jacqueline M. Green and Anthony J. Chiaramida MD,  is a book that every medical student and resident should know and understand very thoroughly. If you can afford to buy only one EKG book – this should be the one.12-lead-ekg-confidenceInstead of showing you a bunch of random patters that you need to memorize, the book helps you anchor your knowledge by tying together the anatomy, physiology and electrophysiology in a lucid and memorable way. The authors don’t waste your time with obscure or unimportant ideas. Rather, they focus on 12-lead EKG patterns that you need to recognized in clinical practice and on medical licensing examinations.

I recommend this book very highly to  medical students and residents. You can read it alone, or as part of Electrocardiography: A Curriculum for Self-Guided Learners.
